Cardno Emerging Markets, Belgium s.a. is looking for a
potential candidate as Team leader to be presented in our tender for the
EU-financed project “Long-term technical assistance to the Women’s
Breakthrough Project” in Ethiopia. The TA contract is to provide
implementation support to the women’s breakthrough project (WBP). The service
contract will be for a period of 40 months and it will assist the project
managers in the overall project administration and monitoring of the project
and development of training courses and provision of entrepreneurship and
vocational trainings for a total of 3 000 women in 4 target regions (Oromia,
SNNP, Gambella and Beninshangul Gumuz). The service contract will have both
long-term and short-term experts. The start date is expected to be beginning
of 2015. The Team Leader will be responsible for the management and
implementation of the contract, including coordination of the long-term TA
and pool of short-term experts. He/She will work in close collaboration with
the Ministry of Women, Youth and Child Affairs in Ethiopia.

Qualifications:
|
|
He/She will have : • A Postgraduate University degree in
business, development, gender or other field relevant for this contract • At
least 15 years of general work experience in SME development,
entrepreneurship, gender issues, training, and at least 10 years’ experience
of working on TA projects • At least 5 years’ experience in implementing
EDF-financed projects; experience as Team Leader is an asset • In-depth
understanding of gender issues, social equity, and women economic empowerment
• Experience in private sector development, support to SMEs and
entrepreneurship skills assessments and trainings is an asset • Experience in
capacity building of national, regional and/or local institutions, experience
in design and implementation of trainings and workshops • Experience in
Project and strategy monitoring and evaluation • Work experience in East
Africa; experience in Ethiopia is an asset • Excellent written and verbal
knowledge of English; knowledge of Amharic is an asset
