Overview:

WRI Beijing office is seeking a highly motivated full time Research Assistant to work on Sustainable & Livable Cities Initiative Project. Position Summary The World Resources Institute (WRI) Beijing office seeks a full time Research Assistant with a focus on urban economics to provide support to the China Sustainable & Livable Cities Initiative Director.

Responsibilities:

Under the overall guidance of the China Sustainable & Livable Cities Initiative Director, the Research Assistant is expected to perform the following tasks: Collecting relevant data. Assisting in writing reports or policy briefs. Assisting in English-Chinese translations. Assisting in the organization of events and workshops.   Assist in the production and publications. Other tasks assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications:

Master’s degree, preferably in economics, business management or public policy. Two or three years of working experience. Interest in environmental and energy issues, with particular enthusiasm for research. Strong writing and language skills. Fluent in English. Excellent computer skills, including Word, Excel, Power Point, Photoshop and PDF  Attention to details. Response to request in a timely manner. Ability to work independently with little supervision. Excellent critical reasoning and problem solving skills.
