Job Purpose:
Serves as a liaison between requestors (clients) and print production staff, assists in request processing, work planning, material requisitioning and outsourcing, of printing services.
Expected Outcomes
Planning/Coordinating
- Assists in coordinating activities of Printing Services to ensure production schedules and delivery deadlines are met; alerts both pre-press and production supervisors and/or the Logistics Management Officer of potential bottlenecks or other problems.
- Assists in the production planning by reviewing requests, assessing requirements, establishing procedures, for required inputs and materials.
- Assists in monitoring progress of each assigned production request to ensure compliance with schedules in close coordination with pre-press and production supervisors and the Logistics Management Officer.
Outsourcing of Printing Services
- Assists in the outsourcing of printing services as required, such as large format printing, offset printing, digital printing, lamination, die-cutting, book-binding, disk and other media replication, and other finishing processes.
- Initiates the requisition for work orders, evaluates technical and financial bids submitted by external service providers and coordinates with the Procurement Unit for complete and timely delivery of services.
- Ensures quality workmanship of outsourced printing services by coordinating with the production supervisor for quality control.
Inventory Management
- Sources market suppliers of recycled paper and other supplies that meets ADB’s standard.
- Initiates requisition for procurement of printing reproduction supplies such as paper, consumables for digital printing systems and various bindery and finishing supplies. Evaluates technical and financial bids submitted by suppliers and coordinates with Procurement Unit for complete and timely delivery
- Develops and maintain an efficient stock control system, ensures timely replenishment of stock materials and conducts regular physical inventory
- Monitors the consumption of production materials and supplies, and ensures that stocks and production consumables are maintained at efficient levels.
- Maintains the database of all item codes for materials and supplies. Coordinates with the Asset Management as required.

- Performs other duties as may be assigned by the immediate supervisor, specialist and/or director.
Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Industrial or Management Engineering or other relevant disciplines
Relevant Experience And Other Requirements:
Work experience
- At least 5 years of relevant experience acquired in a large publishing, printing or related manufacturing company
- Thorough background in printing processes
Technical knowledge
- Thorough knowledge of local market for printing and related services.
- Strong skills in work planning and scheduling, and cost management.
- Thorough understanding of the entire print production and bindery/finishing functions and interaction with similar various ADB service units/departments.
- Thorough knowledge of ADB policies, guidelines and procedures relevant to the job.
- Working knowledge of ISO 14001/18001 related activities and compliance.
- Working knowledge of ADB computer applications and other software updates related to production planning and estimating, workflow automation, personalization, and other printing related services.

- Able to liaise and work effectively with staff within own work location

- Good oral and written communication skills in English
