Description

Futures Group is looking for an outstanding and experienced Team Leader in Nepal to provide strategic direction and leadership on new and potential programmes on sexual, reproductive, maternal, and child health; family planning; social marketing and other forms of private sector engagement; health systems strengthening; gender; research; health administration; public health; and/or related issues.
You will demonstrate:
  • At least 10 years of senior management experience leading large-scale DFID, European Union, USAID, World Bank, or other donor-funded or government health programmes;
  • Experience working with and facilitating partnerships among government, private sector, and nongovernmental health sector partners in Nepal, at national and decentralised levels;
  • Deep understanding of health market dynamics and the health system in Nepal;
  • Strong technical grasp of sexual and reproductive health issues; family planning, including long-acting and permanent methods; abortion and postabortion care; maternal, new-born, and child health, and HIV;
  • Strong technical grasp of one or more of the following: private sector engagement, social marketing, social franchising, health systems strengthening, health finance, research, monitoring and evaluation, social development, gender and other social determinants of poor health, related sectors that affect health, behaviour change communication, and strategies to reach underserved populations;
  • Advanced degree/s in relevant disciplines or medical degree preferred.
