  PURPOSE OF POSITION
    • To advise the National Director and Leadership Team in facilitating the process of planning, formulation, execution, monitoring and evaluation of country strategies and plans to enhance organizational performance and accountability and also ensure proper program coordination and delivery.
    • To provide overall strategic risk management advice, guidance and support to senior management to ensure smooth integration & successful implementation of strategies & programs under WVB.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
      Approved Country strategy (20%)
    • Identification of steering committee members;
    • Identification of all major stakeholders;
    • Consultation tools such as interview questionnaire, focused group discussion questions, etc. for different stakeholders;
    • Consolidated input from different stakeholders;
    • Prepare the country strategy materials based on consultation and contribution from key stakeholders;
    • Country strategy aligned with regional & partnership strategy;
    • Documentation of strategies and process;

      Work plan of individual groups or divisions based on country strategy (15%)
    • Each division have an approved strategy and work plan;
    • Ensure that each Division and department has a clear performance indicator;
    • Ensure that work plan is completed within schedule and budget;
    • Identify barriers and solutions in collaboration with ND and Executive management team;
    • Organize and analyze divisional reports and information and ensure that resources are maximized and goals are completed;

      Monitoring the effectiveness of strategy performance , risk assessment and management (15%)
    • Performance indicators set for divisions, departments and ADPs
    • Monitoring tools developed
    • Periodic report on strategy progress , risks and performance to National Director

      Evaluation of strategy performance and documentation of lessons learned (10%)
    • Identify cross functional team member assessment;
    • Terms of reference of regional evaluator;
    • Evaluation report completed;
    • Documentation of lessons learned;

      Lessons learned incorporated in adjusted work plan (10%)
    • Revised country work plan according to lessons learned;
    • Ensure that documentation of process and lessons learned in knowledge management database;
    • Ensure that department work plan are revised accordingly;
    • Assist the ND in setting new performance indicators in each Division and department;

      Strategic leadership to field operations division (10%)
    • Development of 3-5 years business plan
    • Development of policies, systems and guidelines for effective program development
    • Business plan integration with other divisions

      Professional & Personal Development (5%)
    • Demonstrate understanding of and commitment to World Vision’s Core Values in the approach to work and relationships;

      Liaison with Support Offices (15%)
    • Ensure program growth and needs are aligned with strategies of support offices and/or other donors

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
      REQUIRED:
    • Masters degree in Development Studies, Organizational Development , Social Sciences, Economics or related field
    • Analytical skills
    • Strong business processing and consulting skills
    • Effective Communication skills
    • Strong organizing skills
    • Proven leadership ability.
    • Demonstrated collaboration & team building skills
    • Advanced computer application knowledge
    • At least 8-10 years experience in Strategy / Program Management in International Organization, preferably in NGO Context.
    • In-depth understanding of development concepts and sectors
    • Cross cultural experience

      PREFERRED:
    • Post graduate qualification in Management
    • Experience with Non Profit organization- program management.
    • Experience in strategy formulation.
