Basic purpose
The successful candidate is responsible for facilitating
gender integration and women empowerment in then CSISA Bihar hub by identifying
and addressing gender issues through supporting capacity building of gender
equity with all stakeholders of the project. In addition, the gender specialist
leads, supervises and monitors the gender integration implementation process in
the hub. she/He will be responsible to the CSISA hub manager in Bihar.
Roles and responsibilities
- Leads and facilitates gender analysis in the CSISA huv ti
identify gender issues and woman empowerment needs
- Improves gender equity awareness of stakeholder through
organizing capacity building activities in order to have common understanding
and awareness on genderequity and women's empowerment issues
- Closely works with the CSISA gender specialist to develop
the hubs' gender related outcome indicators, collecting tools and methodologies
- Leads and follows up, supervises and monitors the woman
empowerment implementation process in the hub
- Creates, supports linkage and cooperation with other
stakeholders working on gender equity, in particular NGOs, as well as
development and research institutions for sharing, learning and advocacy
process
Qualification Requirements:
- Bachelor or Master degree in Social Science, Sociology,
Economics, Gender Studies or related fields
- At least 5 years experience in research on gender equity
and woman empowerment
- Good to excellent oral and written communication skills in
English and Hindi
