IMT’s Technology and Engineering department is responsible for providing and maintaining the IT infrastructure framework, which supports staff and business applications in an efficient and cost-effective manner. The department strives to provide quality services to meet a variety of business requirements and its performance is regularly assessed by means of industry relevant benchmarks and annual certification/compliance with standards frameworks, including SOX, ISO2000,and ISO27001.

The scope of activities for IMT’s Technology and Engineering department includes a wide range of services, including data center operations, global network telecommunications, video-conferencing,desktop and server support for Windows, UNIX, and Linux, email, collaboration, portals, Web,financial and HR platform support with SAP and PeopleSoft. The services are tightly integrated and standardized in a way to provide 24x7 availability and transparency to WBG employees and clients around the world.

Duties and Accountabilities:
•    The Network Associate is a position   with supervisory responsibility. The individual reports directly to the Bank Team lead
•    Respond to escalations from the NOC and problem reports from other IT staff, initiate troubleshooting, take action or escalate as needed
•    Review error reports and take appropriate action (troubleshooting, requesting part replacement, etc.)
•    Work with the HQ based network and link teams to plan and deploy new products and services to the COs.
•    Guide and assist CO ITs to install, test and turn-on new services (routers, switches, MPLS or VPN links, etc.)
•    Support other networking equipment as needed (Juniper Firewalls, DNS/DHCP servers, etc.)

•    Be the principal, day-to-day contact for projects/program related work and shall be in charge of the Contractor staff in the NOC for all Contractor matters.
•    Be a technical mentor for all Contractor personnel, develop technical documentation and training procedures, provide training, schedule and coordinate leave requests as well as coverage, and make certain that all contractor personnel follows the NOC standard operating procedure and provides the quality of work.
•    Must have a strong background in information and telecommunications systems, conceptual, analytical and innovative problem-solving ability; and willingness to seek advice or assistance from the Bank’s technical staff when necessary.
•    Review and monitor service indicators in order to ensure adherence to agreed upon the service levels, report and respond to critical security events and take corrective measures per defined security incident management processes.
•    Follow and comply with defined IMS and ISMS relevant security and service delivery policies, process and procedures).
•    Must have effective verbal and written communication skills and ability to work under pressure in busy environment, deal sensitively in a multi-cultural environment, and build effective working relations with clients and colleagues.

Selection Criteria:
•    Mandatory: Experience with Cisco IOS and CatOS CLI. Understanding of IP addressing, routing and switching at the level of CCNA.
•    CCNA/CCNP level of knowledge, Certification is a plus.
•    Experience with Unix CLI and tools is required .
•    Experience using network management tools.
•    NOC experience is a plus
•    Experience with IxChariot  is a plus.
•    Minimum 4 years of experience in the Telecommunications industry and networking professional experience with a strong background in LAN/WAN/VIDEO technologies.
•    Diploma or equivalent work experience
•    Minimum of 4 years familiarity with Global Communication Network.
•    Worked in a similar industry taking care of 24 X 7 operations of the NOC.
•    ITIL certified and knowledgeable on ITIL based service delivery.
