CARE Rwanda seeks a Deputy Chief of Party for a $37
million, five-year, USAID-funded activity to improve and sustain the health
and social wellbeing of Orphans and Vulnerable Children and People Living
with HIV/AIDS, their households, and communities in Rwanda. The
overarching goal of the Improved Services for Vulnerable Populations (IVSP)
program is to improve the protection of vulnerable populations against adverse
circumstances. This contributes to reducing the risk and impact of
HIV/AIDS and other health conditions on the most vulnerable populations in
Rwanda. This activity will build upon USAID support to the Government
of Rwanda and civil society partners to support these vulnerable populations
to access health and social services that enable them to live productive
lives.
The objectives of this program include:
The Deputy Chief of Party is accountable for technical
leadership of the program and will manage a team of senior staff and
sub-partners to ensure quality, timeliness, and efficiency of all products
and activities generated under the project. Complementing the Chief of
Party in experience and education, the Deputy Chief of Party will perform a
range of managerial duties.
