Programme Officer

WaterAid Bangladesh is looking for a highly motivated and self-driven individual to lead our programme work at our office in Dhaka.



Required qualifications and experience:

• Masters or equivalent degree preferably in Social Science/Development/ Environmental/Gender Studies. 

• At least 4 years relevant work experience in any reputed organization, preferably in an International NGO. This can be made flexible in case of excellent academic attainment or higher studies from renowned universities from home and abroad. 

• Profound knowledge of Rights Based Approach.

• Programme supervision & monitoring skill.

• Excellent presentation, facilitation & interpersonal communication skills. 

• Report writing & synthesizing both in Bangla & English.

• Adequate Computer skills on MS word, Excel, Powerpoint.

The role of Programme Officer, involves promoting right based, pro poor, participatory and community empowering approach for water, sanitation and hygiene promotion programming; guide on building the capacity of community based organization (CBO); contribute building capacity of partner NGO staff to implement effective and sustainable projects; support in preparation of annual plan, budget etc; continuous monitoring and follow up of field activities and providing feedback; facilitate Partner NGOs training activities; represent WaterAid in different meeting/seminar/conference etc; networking with relevant stakeholders etc.
