S/ he would be accountable for all aspects of planning, implementing, monitoring, budgeting, reporting and coordinating technical assistance for the project.
S/he would also lead the team and provide directions for addressing programmatic gaps through periodic monitoring. S/he would also be required to engage in advocacy efforts with the implementing departments particularly on policy level interventions. S/he would also liaise both with the government and the donors for matters related to program needs.
The Team Leader would represent CARE in various national and international level forums for wider sharing and learning of successful strategies under health, nutrition and water and sanitation. S/he would be responsible for coordinating with the other members of the consortium to coordinate action under the programme.
Responsibilities
- Provide overall leadership to Bihar Technical and Support Team on areas of technical assistance as part of CARE’s role
- Coordinate with the nodal departments in the state for Implementation of SWASTH
- Support state in establishing monitoring platforms for assessing progress of SWASTH
- Be representative of CARE and lead the consortium
- Ensure timely reporting to the donor
Required
- Post graduate in management, social work, public health or social sciences
- 10 years experience working in development sector with focus on Mobility, Migration, HIV and Advocacy (should have research papers/publications in related field)
- Experience of working in a regional environment and handling projects independently
