experiments at IRRI and collaborative sites, including PhilRice, on
characterization of component traits for lodging resistance and yield potential
in rice using protocols set by researchers to enable them to generate the
desired results within the set time frame. This position is funded by the SKEP
SYNGENTA II “Phenotyping and genetic analysis of rice traits for lodging
resistance”.

responsibilities
1. Assist researchers in field and greenhouse
experimentation from seed to seed, field maintenance, and sampling and sample
processing
2. Assist researchers in data collection and physiological
measurements in the field, such as SPAD measurement, tiller and leaf counting,
stem morphology, yield and yield components

non-structural carbohydrate and N analyses from on-station field experiments at
PhilRice (Muñoz) and IRRI on lodging and phenotyping for yield potential
component traits
