| Basic purpose | The successful candidate will be responsible to the CSISA hub manager in Odisha. She/He will assist the CSISA extension agronomists in conducting on-farm participatory trials of farmers to deliver integrated technology solutions to resource – poor farmers. |
| Roles and responsibilities | ● Supervision of field demonstrations, field days and farmers' training on technology and related issues in target areas ● Supervision of on – farm participatory trials on crop and resource management in cereal – based systems ● Assistance in planning and conducting farmers' training ● Documentation responsibilities ● Collects data from on – farm experimentation and demonstration ● Assistance to the extension agronomist in other areas when the need arises ● Report to the CSISA hub manager Qualification Requirements: ● Bachelor degree or rural MBA or equivalent qualification/experience in soil science, agronomy,crop production, extension or related agricultural fields ● At least 2 years experience in extension or participatory on – farm research with special emphasis on crop, soil or resource management options in cereal – based cropping system of South Asia ● Knowledge in efficient data collection, skills in interacting with farmers ● Good communication skills to advice and train farmers, preparedness to live in rural ares |
