Description
The Health Policy Project (HPP), implemented by Futures Group International and its partners and funded by USAID,
is a five-year project which has a primary emphasis on supporting
national-level awareness raising, resource mobilization, and policy
reform to improve quality and expand access to Family
Planning/Reproductive Health (FP/RH) services in Jordan.
HPP
is seeking to hire a short term Jordanian consultant in Finance and
Administration for 6-8 weeks in October and November
2012.
Responsibilities: under the supervision of the Country Director will coordinate all operational aspects (Financial, Administrative and Human Resources):
- Ensure efficient management of the day-to-day operations of HPP office such as budget and finance, HR, procurement and purchasing, and records management.
- Provide necessary financial support to the project and training of project staff.
- Process operational activities, contracts, agreements, purchase orders and any other procurement.
- Ensure that the financial/ administrative and operational activities are in alignment with Futures Group policies, procedures, standard operating procedures and USAID regulations.
- Establish a Management System in HPP Jordan office that is compliant with local laws, Futures and USAID rules and regulations
- Ensure proper documentation of important information, documents and deliverables
- Supervise and train the office manager on F & A policies and procedures.
- Provide assistance to the Country Director as needed
Qualifications:
- Degree in Finance/Accounting
- At least 10 years’ experience in finance/accounting,
- Experience with USAID funded programs and USAID rules and regulations is a must
- Audit experience would be an added advantage
- Microsoft Office proficiency including the ability to operate computerized accounting, spreadsheet, and word-processing programs at a highly proficient level
- Excellent written and spoken Arabic and English
- Excellent management skills
