Programme Officer, Monitoring and Evaluation

WaterAid is looking for a highly motivated and self-driven individual to drive the monitoring and evaluation of our programmes in Bangladesh.



He or she will design monitoring systems and tools with user guidelines, contribute to compiling the annual plan and undertake project monitoring visits to record progress and troubleshoot with partner NGOs.

The postholder is expected to develop TOR, design baseline surveys, evaluate WaterAid projects and coordinate with external agencies engaged by WaterAid for conducting M&E assignments.

S/he will be expected to operate computerised database management systems and provide development support to a range of partner NGOs in order to cordinate database and M&E activities effectively.

  • Masters or equivalent degree preferably in Urban & Rural Planning/Statistics/ Anthropology/Sociology/Economics/Gender Studies/MIS from any recognized university.
  • Professional course or training on monitoring, evaluation, research methodology and database management from any recognized university or institute will be an added qualification.
  • At least 4 years experience in development field of which three years exclusively in Monitoring and Evaluation work with an international organization/NGO.
  • Hands-on experience in designing and dealing with database system, survey methodologies, data collection, processing, analysis and report writing skills.
