The role of Programme Officer, Advocay, involves analysing WaterAid Bangladesh's Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WaSH) policies in order to promote effective advocacy. This includes developing evidence-based advocacy strategy and developing and implementing our policy research agenda.
Other responsibilities include supporting partner NGOs in building strong partnership with local government and other stakeholders and assisting them with implementing projects/programmes inline with our advocacy agenda.
The post holder will also network with local and national sector organisations and encourage them to incorporate the WaSH agenda into their activities.
Required qualifications and experience:
• Masters or equivalent degree in any discipline.
• At least 4 years working experience in the field of advocacy with demonstrable advocacy skills.
• Understanding of Rights Based Approach.
• Knowledge of Water and Sanitation issues of Bangladesh.
