Description

Global Communities, formerly CHF International, is an international non-profit organization that works closely with communities worldwide to bring about sustainable change that improves the lives and livelihoods of the vulnerable.
Global Communities is seeking Technical and Vocational Education Training (TVET) / Workforce Development Specialist candidates for anticipated Training and Vocational Education Training (TVET) / Workforce Development project in Jordan.  This project aims to reduce poverty in Jordan by building employment skills and assets of, and increasing access to finance for, Jordan’s vulnerable populations.
Ideal candidates must have demonstrated experience in one or more of the following technical areas:
  • Curricula development
  • Workforce policy development
  • Entrepreneurship
  • Economic development
  • Access to finance
  • Apprentice and employment placements
  • Career counseling and placement
  • Entrepreneurship
  • Public-Private Partnerships
  • Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E)
Qualifications:
  • At least 5 years experience working in sectors relevant to the project, including workforce development, vocational education and training (TVET), employment and labor market systems, capacity building of local institutions, or other related experience.
  • Previous experience working on Jordanian government or donor-funded programs; private sector a plus.
  • Strengthening the capacity of technical and vocational education and training institutions.
  • Extensive experience in at least one in-demand labor markets including ICT, agribusiness, construction, tourism, health care, or manufacturing.
  • Previous experience developing workforce programs linking workforce development and job creation that incorporate youth, women and marginalized groups.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English required; proficiency or fluency in Arabic preferred.
