Senior Quality Assurance Officer with the Director's office of Labs under the Laboratories (Internal Advertisement #12/13) - icddr,b - Dhaka, Bangladesh

icddr,b invites applications from suitable candidates(staff members & CSA holders) for the position of Senior Quality Assurance Officer with the Director’s office of Labs under the Laboratories. The appointment will be made on a Fixed-Term basis for 2 years, but may be extended for further period depending on satisfactory performance and availability of funds.

Duty Station – Dhaka

Salary – Annual Tk. 506,840/- inclusive of house rent and conveyance allowances with other admissible benefits.

Benefits/facilities - 14.8% retirement fund contribution by icddr,b, children allowance @Tk.1,420/- per child per month, medical facilities for dependent spouse and children, group life insurance and subsidized canteen. Subsidized transport and daycare facilities subject to availability 

Job Profile

• Manage the document control system for the Laboratories which includes insuring document review, issuing document for Quality & technical manual;
• Periodic review of Quality Control and Quality Assurance records and report the findings to the supervisor for appropriate action;
• Oversee the EQAS and IQAS assessment schemes;
• Monitoring the equipment maintenance and calibration activities;
• Organizing monthly laboratory management committee (LMC) meeting;
• Periodically visit the labs and report to Sr. Manager of Quality Assurance Unit for current issues as well as seeking advice from experienced colleagues to resolve issues;

Requirements

• Masters degree in biological/ laboratory sciences or medical graduates  within a clinical or diagnostic discipline;
• 5 years experience in relevant field; however, experience may be flexible for candidates having 3 years operational skills of QA or QC related experience;
• Skills in laboratory functions with special reference to quality assurance, quality control & quality management systems;
• Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills;
• Proficiency in written and spoken English is essential;
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft applications is essential;
