Objective: This Research
Fellowship position will provide an opportunity for aspiring researchers
to get to work in the research based environment at icddr,b. The
fellowship is aimed at capable individuals who have recently completed
their Masters, are in the career formative stage and are interested to
make a career in research.
Particulars of the fellowship are as follows:
Duty Station: Dhaka.
Job Profile
- Assist PI in writing research proposals, implementation of research projects on health systems, immunization systems and universal health coverage;
- Assist in data collection, data management, data analysis, interpretation and report writing;
- Reviewing literature and assist PI in research proposal writing.
Requirements
- Masters degree in Social Science and MPH degree with very good academic record;
- Good skill on literature search and documents review;
- Excellent English writing skills;
- Should be ready to frequent field visit in any area of Bangladesh;
- Computer literacy is essential particularly on word processing (MS-Word), spreadsheet (MS-Excel), Presentation (MS-PowerPoint) and statistical packages will be advantageous;
- Strong critical thinking skill and ability to identify substantive problems and creative capacity to resolve these problems;
- Good physical and mental ability for extensive work even beyond normal duty hours when necessary;
Duration: Duration of fellowship for the period of 1 year.
Stipend: Monthly stipend amounting
to Tk. 30,000/-and free transportation to and from the duty stations,
subject to Centre’s rules and availability of transports.
Evaluation & Certification:
The progress of the fellows will be monitored and evaluated. On
successful completion of training and final evaluation, the fellow will
be awarded certificates.
Prospects: After completion of the
programme, the fellows may apply against any other suitable positions
at the Centre. However, such employment is not guaranteed. The selected
fellows will not be eligible for any other fellowship programme at the
Centre.
