Maersk Oil Qatar AS is the leading oil producer offshore Qatar and a recognized pioneer in oil development and production techniques. On the basis of an Exploration and Production Sharing Agreement signed in 1992 with Qatar Petroleum, Maersk Oil Qatar AS is the sole operator of the Al Shaheen Field and currently engaged in one of the largest oil projects in the world with capital investments of approximately 6 billion USD, comprising the drilling of more than 160 additional production and water injection wells. The current oil production from the Al Shaheen Field is approximately 300,000 barrels/day.

We Offer 
The Platform Supervisor is a key member of the offshore leadership team and is responsible for the safe delivery of MOQ business plans from a Maintenance perspective. This position will support our business operations and will provide leadership, direction and deliver against asset integrity and compliance activities on our operated assets.
The Platform Supervisor is the day to day leader of all activities on the installation and responsible for all activities within the installations 500m safety zone.
Overall responsibility for ensuring safety, production, maintenance and other activities are planned, coordinated and executed in an efficient manner that ensures optimum uptime.
The Platform Supervisor is the overall responsible person for the safe and efficient operation of the installation.


Key Responsibilities 
Drive an incident free environment through establishing and maintaining a strong safety culture.
Contribute to the development and execution of safe work processes, operating procedures and guidelines to ensure process safety, operational safety and plant integrity.
Leader of platform emergency response.
Ensure operational integrity of the installations is maintained at all times.
Initiate campaigns, training sessions and safety focus initiatives as necessary.
Responsible for issuing platform specific instructions as required ensuring safe operation.
Perform internal audits of “risk management” systems as appropriate.
Play an active role in incident investigation, and ensure a high standard of reporting and follow-up to reduce the probability of reoccurrence.
Ensure that “non-conformances” are being captured and lessons learned embedded into operation.
Ensure all SIMOP operations are planned, controlled and executed in a safe and efficient manner.
Work with direct reports to establish short term operational priorities, targets and activity plans in line with policies and guidelines for centre under supervision; ensure their successful execution.
Identify opportunities and champion initiatives that enables maximum production output within the parameters of process safety, environmental compliance and resource utilization.
Ensure daily operational targets are being met and optimized.
Platform responsible for planning and controlling simultaneous operations (Production / Drilling / Projects / Marine & Export).
Ensure operational objectives and KPIs are being defined, rolled out and followed up upon.
Responsible for delivery of the offshore implementation element of the integrated work plan – on a day to day basis.

Provide leadership and guidance to direct reports in the execution of their responsibilities; encourage innovative thinking around process safety and production optimization.
Uphold and role-model MOQ's core values, leadership and Incident-Free behaviours.
Ensure all direct reports have the right training and competencies to carry out their duties in line with MOQ's Competency Assurance Program (CAP) and Training Matrix; help create a learning environment.
Actively work for improving collaboration between off- and onshore departments (with all stakeholders).

Actively participate in daily communication and coordination between off-and onshore businesses pertaining to key business matters and sharing of knowledge and experience.
Establish and maintain effective relationships with external parties required to meet MOQ’s business and operational objectives.
Represent MOQ vis-à-vis external stakeholders in areas of operational importance.

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or similar preferred, or discipline specific qualification with proven industry related track record.
Minimum of 10 years experience, preferably in the petrochemical, refining, oil / gas exploration and/or production industries in a similar role with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
