•    Install and maintain up to date Operational System software, patch levels, firmware, drivers and related program products. Configure and customize software in accordance with site requirements. Suggest and promote System Changes in accordance with documented SOPs (Standard Operational Procedures).
•    Provide continuous monitoring, troubleshooting, and first level maintenance of the various application servers, systems and associated peripherals. This also includes adequate follow up on Problem Resolution tracking using the Remedy tool.
•    Engages in capacity planning and monitoring usage reports. Recommends alternatives to infrastructure reconfiguration including replacement or addition of capacity.
•    Participate in “On Call” weekly shift supporting off hours and weekend activity.
•    Pro-actively review and monitor service indicators in order to insure adherence to agreed upon service levels.
•    Interact with software and hardware maintenance providers in enforcing adequate levels of support to the installed inventory.
•    Provide support to other technical staff in performing account management, disk space management, backups, baseline security administration, testing of system features and other systems administration activities.
•    Produce and maintain appropriate documentation and charts describing hardware setups, diagrams, operational procedures and overall inventory.
•    Produce weekly reports of activities and operational status of systems under his/her control.
•    Monitor and review use of systems for violations of Bank access control policies.
•    Ensure that the defined decommissioning and disposal procedures are followed for all hardware systems and media.
•    Report and respond to critical security events and take corrective measures per defined security incident management processes.
•    Follow and comply with WDBK’s IMS and ISMS policies, processes and procedures (ISO20000 and ISO27001).
•    Participate in audits, as needed, producing necessary documentation, reports and explanations. Implement corrective and preventive action plans approved by unit managers.

•    Bachelors Degree in Engineering/MCA or Equivalent with minimum 4-6 years of relevant experience.
•    AIX, Solaris and Linux certifications with relevant experience with SUN Solaris (2.8, 2.9 or 2.10), or IBM AIX (4.3, 5.1 or 5.2) or RedHat Linux (2.1 or 3.0 AS) software and hardware configurations.
•    Intimacy with components and peripherals, including disks and network.
•    Relevant experience configuring and maintaining Highly Available configurations (Veritas VCS or IBM HACMP), Volume Managers and File Systems (Veritas FS), OS mirroring and OS replication.
•    Relevant experience in environments supporting Databases (Oracle and Sybase), including intimacy with DB concepts and operations.
•    Relevant experience or good understanding of WEB related technologies, including architectural concepts but also basic operational principles of applications servers, web servers, etc.
•    At least 4 years of experience managing mission critical Unix (AIX or Solaris) and Linux systems with proven involvement in operations requiring for stringent uptime service levels.
•    Team player with strong technical and user support skills.
•    Excellent oral and written communication skills.
•    Able to present and explain technical information to diverse types of audience (management, users, vendor, and technical staff).
