The Information Management and Technology unit provides core IT infrastructure and business application services to the WBG headquarters in Washington, D.C. and country offices. The IMT strategy is designed to align IT initiatives with the WBG business strategy and with the overarching objective of ensuring that users have uniform and easy access to information and systems, both from Washington and country offices. IMT has management responsibility for most WBG IT services, business solutions, and the underlying technology infrastructure.

IMT’s Technology and Engineering department is responsible for providing and maintaining the IT infrastructure framework, which supports staff and business applications in an efficient and cost-effective manner. The department strives to provide quality services to meet a variety of business requirements and its performance is regularly assessed by means of industry relevant benchmarks and annual certification/compliance with standards frameworks, including SOX, ISO2000,and ISO27001.

The scope of activities for IMT’s Technology and Engineering department includes a wide range of services, including data center operations, global network telecommunications, video-conferencing,desktop and server support for Windows, UNIX, and Linux, email, collaboration, portals, Web,financial and HR platform support with SAP and PeopleSoft. The services are tightly integrated and standardized in a way to provide 24x7 availability and transparency to WBG employees and clientsaround the world.

Duties and Accountabilities:
•    Overall adherence and compliance with related SOPs.
•    Provisioning of resources, capacity, and functionality. This includes participation in weekly maintenance activities, including preparatory work and adherence to ISGTE’s Change Management framework.
•    Cyclical maintenance and updates of the operational landscape (software versions, patches, support to vendor SW/HW maintenance activities, etc.).
•    Support to normal operations during HQ off-hours. This also includes regular support to other technical staff when performing technical activities like testing of system features, basic administration, etc.
•    Troubleshooting of problems in close coordination with HQ staff. This includes opening, follow-up on opened problems, closing, and escalation to HQ staff in adherence to ISGTE’s Problem Management framework.
•    Participation in the “On Call” weekly shift during HQ off hours. This is usually associated with Chennai day time hours, including weekends.
•    Monitor of overall operational landscape availability in order to ensure adherence to agreed upon service levels. The scope is also inclusive of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and weekly reports of activities and operational status.
•    Maintenance of appropriate documentation and charts describing hardware setups, diagrams, allocations, overall inventory, etc. This includes suggestions for the update and improvement to SOPs.
•    Compliance with ISG’s IMS and ISMS policies, processes and procedures (ISO20000 and ISO27001).
Support to audit exercises, as needed, producing requested documentation and reports.
•    Assist in supporting the Bank’s standard desktop hardware and software configuration.
•    Evaluate software upgrades and patches, assist in developing software distribution packages,
•    Help define procedures and documentation for such packages, help gather and maintain hardware and software inventory and maintain the systems management software itself.
•    Design, install, configure, and troubleshoot Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM 2007) infrastructure; provide support and assistance to the business unit IT office technology coordinators.
•    Authenticate, Distribute and maintain consistency of SCCM packages in HQ and 120 country offices.
•    Responsible to maintain 24 by 7 operation on all SCCM servers.
•    Design and install new SCCM administrator console, delegate their access rights, and provide assistance for IT administrators to manage clients using SCCM services to support their clients.
•    Train business unit IT teams to help initiating the implementation of SCCM technology across enterprise inventory applications, such as Remedy and SAP. Work closely with the central technical support team in resolving various issues/problems with the inventory/software distribution process.
•    Develops procedures and documentation for system management as a service for IT society in the Bank, including inventory, software distribution, remote control and remote support, performance monitoring, monitoring and early warning procedure, web based reports and utilities.
•    Evaluates new versions of systems management software for stability, reliability, performance and compatibility with Bank’s existing environment.
•    Develops and implements rapid deployment methodology to deliver critical patches, anti-virus software update to office and Internet clients.
•    Designs and implement Microsoft Windows Server Update Services (WSUS) to deployment operating system patches.
•    Designs and implement Microsoft Internet Information Service (IIS) to conduct web based applications including patch update, interactive web based applications (ASP), SQL reporting service and knowledge base.
•    Keep abreast of information security advisories and vendor product/upgrade announcements
•    Follow and comply with Infrastructure Management System(IMS) and Information Security Management System (ISMS) policies, processes and procedures
•    Participate in information security audits and implement corrective and preventive action plans approved by unit managers
•    Willingness to work in flexible working hours including weekends

Selection Criteria:
•    Should be Graduate, MCA , BE/BTEch in  any branch of Engineering.
•    Minimum 4-6 years of experience in the following areas
o    Microsoft Windows Vista/7 Operating System expertise.
o    MS tools such as Vista/7 Readiness Kit, User State Migration Toolkit (USMT) and monitoring tools.
o    Good understanding of MS SQL and Crystal Reports
o    Microsoft Deployment Toolkit (MDT 2010).
•    MCSE with SCCM and SQL servers certificate or equivalent experience (to have at least 1 cycle of OS upgrade)
•    Experience with Microsoft tools such as IEAK, GPO, ADSI and WMI.
•    Experienced with computer hardware and software installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
•    Experienced working in a networked systems environment. Good understanding of Network Operating Systems and Services (e.g. MS XP, Vista, Srvr 2003,2008 and/or UNIX).
•    Familiarity with networking devices, protocols (TCP/IP) and corresponding access-related problems.
•    Excellent interpersonal skills to support and train Information Technology Coordinators.
•    Proven ability to write and maintain technical documentation & procedures
•    Detail oriented with ability to QA his own work
•    Proven analytical ability, strong writing and communication skills
•    Ability to diagnose and resolve technical problems independently as well as in collaboration with a team; strong team player.
