Global Communities is seeking Chief of Party (COP) candidates for anticipated Workforce Development project in Jordan.
The COP will provide overall leadership and technical direction for the project; oversee planning, implementation and management of the project; provide all management of project office(s), activities and operations; serve as key liaison with the donor, the host government, and implementing partners; and ensure the completion of contractual deliverables.
Qualifications:
Master’s degree in education, international development, economics or related field.
5+ years Chief of Party or equivalent experience on large-scale, multi-year donor-funded projects, USAID preferred.
Demonstrated knowledge and use of program design, policy development, management, and project monitoring tools.
At least 7 years of proven experience implementing workforce development and technical and vocational education and training (TVET) initiatives, including coordination with the private sector and successful job placement activities.
Prior experience in capacity building of local institutions; public-private partnerships; labor market information systems, industry competitiveness and developing national qualifications standards desirable.
Previous relevant work experience in the Jordan or the Middle East.
Fluency in written and spoken English required; Arabic preferred.
Experience as key project liaison with USAID and multiple partner institutions at the regional and national levels.
Ability to lead teams in capacity building and institutional strengthening.
