Basic purpose The successful candidate will be responsible to protection and safeguarding of Institute-owned assets from possible losses. She/He will ascertain that receipts and subsequent movements of property, plant and equipment are properly recorded, documented, and fully accounted for. She/He will monitor warehouse stock movements of the Institute.
Roles and responsibilities - Reviews monitors and movements of Institute owned assets by analyzing and preparing summary of equipment tagged, and disposed to ensure assets are properly documented, recorded and accounted for
- Transfers property accountabilities of resigning NRS staff to new users through updating of Asset Management System validate that assets are properly accounted for and clears resigning NRS staff of any accountabilities
- Conducts inventory of IRR properties through physical count and inspection to ascertain completeness of records and update property accountabilities
- Maintains Asset Management System to record all movements of assets by updating records including additions and deletions of fixed assets
- Provides support Accounting Supervisor during month-end and year-end closing activities to meet set deadlines by supplying needed documents and preparing schedules
- Communicates with respective project scientists, collaborators, and outreach offices in all matters affecting institute owned assets to include follow-up on confirmation of fixed assets movement for prompt and timely recording of transactions
- Monitors freight charges and related transactions affecting warehouse inventories to record necessary cost adjustment in the inventory module
- Reconciles monthly system-generated inventory reports against general ledger balances by checking and analyzing inventory control module balances in order to record ne cessary adjustments promptly
- Inspection of obsolete warehouse inventories and delete form the Master & Warehouse Files
- Assumes responsiblity as tag control team leader in the annual physical inventory of warehouse stocks by collecting and accounting for the completeness of tags for an orderly and early completion of the count
- Prepares result of the annual physical inventory through analyzing and reconciling the book balances to verify nature if deiscrepancies and journalize necessary adjustments
- Physical inspection of fixed assets for disposal in the Property Disposal vehicles
- Attend suction sale (bidding) odf scrap/junked equipments, furniture & vehicles
- Perform all other related duties that may be assigned from time to time by the Assistant Manager and Manager


Qualification Requirements:


- BS in Business Administration major in Accounting, CPA
- At least 5 years experience preferably in a multi-national or non-profit oriented firm
- Experience in using Micros and Mainframes and flexibility to adopt to new software applications
- Effective oral and written communication skills
