Job Title: Programming Coordinator
Job Location: Hanoi, Vietnam
Employment Status: Full time position – 6 month initial contract
Reports To: Hagar Vietnam - Country Director


Hagar is an international Christian organization, registered as a foundation in Switzerland, which works tenaciously with women and children who have survived extreme cases of abuse and exploitation. Hagar cares for them until they can care for themselves- doing whatever it takes, for as long as it takes, in recognition of the deep wounding of severe abuse. Field offices are located in Cambodia, Afghanistan and Vietnam. Funding those offices come from support offices in Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, UK and USA.
Hagar Vietnam’s office opened in doors 2009 and has adapted Hagar’s innovation and holistic program’s to meet the needs of Vietnamese survivors of abuse and exploitation. After 3 years of operation in Hanoi, the country directory will lead the strategic expansion of Hagar’s programs in Vietnam, ensuring the delivery of quality programs and increasing the reach of other targets groups and locations throughout the country.
The right candidate for Programming Coordinator will have:
  • Demonstrated project management skills (including skills in time management and task prioritisation)
  • Experience in managing programmes that have resulted in an increased acquisition of funds
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills including practical experience in using accounting software for financial management purposes and database for donor management.
  • Demonstrated success in building effective networks and relationships that engage donors, governments and other key stakeholders to support project objectives
