Overview:
WRI Beijing office is seeking a highly motivated full time Research Assistant to work on Sustainable & Livable Cities Initiative Project.

Position Summary

The World Resources Institute (WRI) Beijing office seeks a full time Research Assistant with a focus on urban economics to provide support to the China Sustainable & Livable Cities Initiative Director.
Responsibilities:
Under the overall guidance of the China Sustainable & Livable Cities Initiative Director, the Research Assistant is expected to perform the following tasks:
  • Collecting relevant data.
  • Assisting in writing reports or policy briefs.
  • Assisting in English-Chinese translations.
  • Assisting in the organization of events and workshops.  
  • Assist in the production and publications.
  • Other tasks assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications:
  • Master’s degree, preferably in economics, business management or public policy.
  • Two or three years of working experience.
  • Interest in environmental and energy issues, with particular enthusiasm for research.
  • Strong writing and language skills.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Excellent computer skills, including Word, Excel, Power Point, Photoshop and PDF 
  • Attention to details.
  • Response to request in a timely manner.
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision.
  • Excellent critical reasoning and problem solving skills.
