Background

The tenth census of population, housing and establishments were completed in 2011, realizing the urgency of moving to finalize the finding and results promptly so that decisions makers will have access to updated data. To fulfill its tasks, CSB will depend on the co-operation between the State of Kuwait and the UNDP, which strives to enhance institutional efficiency in the State. In this context, the (CSB) intends to recruit a Senior Expert in Demography Census is required to assist in reviewing and verifying the census results and for a period of one month.

Duties and Responsibilities

Scope of Work:
  • Review the results of the 2011 Census and analyze demographic data anomalies.
  • Assist in reviewing census results.
  • Explain anomalies in said data.
  • Reviewing the procedures of the census conducted in 2011 to very internal standards.
  • Reviewing the electronic and manual census data match and correct.
  • Recommendation of dissemination.

  • Has a strong IT skills.
  • Focuses on impact and result for the CSB and responds positively to feedback. 
  • Leads teams effectively and shows conflict resolution skills.
  • Consistently approaches work with energy and a positive, constructive attitude.
  • Demonstrates strong oral and written communication skills in Arabic and English. 

Required Skills and Experience

Education:
  • Masters in Demographic statistics.
Experience:
  • At least 10 years of experience in data verification.
Language Requirements:
  • Proficiency in the English and preferably Arabic languages.
