Project Director -- USDOL Reducing Child Domestic Work by Promoting Decent Work for Domestic Worker Location: India

CHF International’s mission is to be a catalyst for long-lasting positive change in low- and moderate-income communities around the world, helping them to improve their social, economic and environmental conditions.
CHF is seeking a Project Director for a proposed 4-year, $5 million project funded by the U.S. Department of Labor to combat child labor in the domestic work sector in India by building the capacity of domestic worker organizations and promoting decent work for domestic workers.

The Project Director will provide overall leadership and strategic direction to the project; oversee planning, implementation and management of the project; serve as key liaison with the donor, host government, and implementing partners; and ensure proper reporting, financial management and compliance. This position is contingent on funding.

Qualifications:
  • Advanced degree
  • Minimum of five years of experience in project management, supervision, administration, and implementation of grant, cooperative agreement, and contract requirements (including meeting deadlines, achieving targets, and overseeing the preparation and submission of required reports).
  • Ability to establish and maintain systems for project operations, including the Direct Beneficiary Monitoring System required by USDOL and other monitoring and evaluation requirements.
  • Ability to maintain working relationships with all project stakeholders, including coalition building and partnership promotion.
  • Prior experience managing USDOL-funded projects and understanding of USDOL regulations preferred.
  • Experience in a leadership role in implementing development projects relevant to this solicitation, such as organizational capacity building and awareness raising activities.
  • Experience working on domestic worker issues required; experience working with child domestic workers strongly preferred.
  • Must reside in South Asia and/or Southeast Asia
  • Fluency in oral and written English is required.
