Interns and Volunteers - Phnom Penh, Cambodia

The Volunteer Program (VP) is organized by a NGO of the SIDO Groups that consists the 3 main natures of works as: 1) NGO, 2) Social Enterprise and 3) Private Business Sectors. It is our mission to build up partners and networks with the public, media, CSOs, NGOs/ IOs, UN, Shareholders, Private and Donor agencies in the country where we work on our priorities. VP was established in March 2005 and is run by Cambodian experienced volunteers and Local staff in each country. The VP is unique with its moderate prices and core respects.

The program invites volunteers from all over the world to work with Cambodian non-governmental organizations, International NGOs and other related sectors within our partnership. The idea is to bring foreign volunteers to Cambodia in particularly and also to each country where we work to exchange cultural, work experience and to contribute new impulses and fresh ideas to both Cambodian and the volunteers' home society. VP is designed primarily for college students, recent graduates, less skilled individuals and might be acceptable for retired or non-retied skilled persons. We help the volunteers to find a suitable placement and to organize their stay in Cambodia. The length of stay depends on the volunteer's interests and varies between 4 weeks and six months. To gain a deep insight into the organizations and their activities a minimum stay of 6 weeks is recommended.

We have 100+ partners in various sectors. Depending on the volunteer's interests, placements are possible in many different fields, such as Rights and Advocacy Training, HIV/AIDS, English/ IT Teaching, Health, Rural Development, Human Rights Protection, Legal Rights Work, Tourism, Enterprise Development, Agriculture, Disaster and WASH, Gender Equality and Rules of Law, Environmental Issues and so on as you might see in www.sido-cvl.org .

VP is also looking for candidates with a specific interest in our work. The volunteer must have a real interest in strengthening and commitment to each of our related priorities and themes of those who need it most.
As a result, it has a huge range of opportunities for volunteers. They are able to choose what they want to learn and whether they would like to stay with our partners or with our team.
