PURPOSE OF POSITION:
This Position will provide solutions development services and Tier 2/3 (Help Desk Support) to Global ICT clients.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design, build, test and maintain applications supporting WVI projects/programmes
- Drive results and be responsible for the quality of deliverables in terms of the technical design, implementation, testing and adherence to technical compliance standards.
- Interface with Business Services, Production Management Team, Project Managers and other intermediaries in pursuit of project goals and objectives
- Interacts with the business to understand associated business processes and priorities
- Works with Business Analysts/business partners to determine and translate business requirements into technology solutions
- Must work well in a team setting and have excellent organizational, prioritization, communication, and project management skills.
- Demonstrate accountability, flexibility and adaptability in handling multiple and changing priorities and be able to successfully collaborate with development teams, technology groups and key business partners
- Provide Tier 2/3 technical (Help Desk) support to WVI applications (with focus on Digital Imaging solutions for Sponsorship)
- Attend and participate in devotional meetings, chapel services, staff retreat, Day of Prayer etc.
- Perform other duties as may be required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, as well as negotiation and administrative abilities.
- At least 1 year experience in applications development using VB.NET, SQL and XML
- Competent in the use of Microsoft Office computer programs including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Knowledge and experience in Lotus Notes Design is an advantage
- Experience in working within a multinational, multicultural environment is a plus
PREFERRED: - Demonstrable knowledge in the following technologies is a must: VB.NetSQL (programming & scripting) and XML
